Land Ownership & Aftercare

How long does mulched land stay clear?

Typically one to five years before a maintenance pass makes sense, depending on species and rainfall. Resprouters like mesquite and redberry juniper push back fastest; ground cleared of non-resprouting species stays open much longer, especially once grass establishes. Maintenance mulching costs a fraction of the first clearing because the machine is grinding regrowth, not standing timber.
