When is forestry mulching the wrong tool?

When the roots have to come out or the ground has to move: building pads, ponds, roads, and utility trenches need a dozer or excavator and grubbing, not a mulcher. It's also the wrong tool for big timber — trees past the 8-inch range on a compact machine are saw or excavator work. A good operator tells you this at the walk-through, not after mobilizing.
